The following slide is from the presentation given at the 2009 Town Hall Meetings to address the costs of the Sugar Creek Hills Incorporation Initiative that is on the April 7, 2009, ballot.
The above slide was extracted from the presentation that was given at the town hall meeting and shows how the $879 'Annual Average Household Tax Increase for Incorporating' was figured. The tax percentages applied to the above slide were based on the Harding budget submitted to Jefferson County and statistics from 2008 income received by Jefferson City. Other cost items are from the detailed 10 city study that Nelson Weber performed -- these include city stickers, animal tags, etc. The presentation can be viewed in its entirety by clicking on Town Hall Presentation. Mr. Weber continues to update the numbers from the 2005 study that he conducted of 10 cities in the Jefferson & St. Louis Counties.
